PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The historical Buddha taught that the end of suffering is the renunciation and letting go of all craving and clinging. Later the gentle Buddha’s teachings developed and the path of peace was expanded to become both the abandonment of craving and the non-abandonment of the world of birth and death. This is the path of enlightening beings who aspire to authentic enlightenment in order to serve all beings and work effectively for the welfare of the world.  This three-day retreat will focus on the practice of this path.  The retreat includes periods of quiet sitting and walking meditation, Dharma talks, group discussions, and individual meetings with the teacher, as time allows. The schedule allows plenty of free time to rest, relax, and enjoy the autumn mountains and wide-open skies.
