Emptiness Dancing: A Weekend Silent Retreat

Cutting through the myths and misinformation that cloud what enlightenment truly is, you can begin to awaken within yourself the deep inner transformation, the living experience of enlightenment. This weekend is for those who desire to realize the truth of their being, the essence of existence. Silence will be the container of retreat, for it is in inner silence that deep realization spontaneously blooms. Adyashanti encourages each participant to inquire fearlessly down to the root of self and the illusion of separation so the light of awakening can penetrate the whole of one's being. The retreat is structured to support the flowering of realization as well as to challenge the ways we hold on and resist letting go into the truth. The schedule will include meditation and satsangs (talks by Adyashanti followed by dialogues with the audience). Outside of satsang, this retreat will be held in silence.
  • Fulfills the spiritual practice prerequisite for John F. Kennedy University's Graduate School for Holistic Studies.
  • Qualifies for YTT 500. You must apply to the YTT 500 program before taking this class for credit.

ADYASHANTI dares seekers of peace and freedom to take the possibility of liberation seriously. He began teaching in 1996, at the request of his Zen teacher with whom he had been studying for 14 years. Since then many spiritual seekers have awakened to their true nature while spending time with Adyashanti. The author of True Meditation, Emptiness Dancing, The Impact of Awakening, and My Secret is Silence, Adyashanti offers spontaneous and direct non-dual teachings that have been compared to those of the early Zen masters and Advaita Vedanta sages.
