Foundations of Svaroopa Yoga
August 1-6


Deepen your practice of Svaroopa Yoga by cultivating your skill in the most
important poses: the Primary Spinal Openers. In five days of Yoga immersion you
will expand your knowledge of anatomy and explore the ancient teachings on yoga
philosophy. After this program you will be able to share your yoga practice with
friends and loved ones, or begin learning how to be a yoga teacher! You will
learn the essentials
you need to move forward, beginning with your first student - you!
- Continuing Education Credit for nurses.
- Fulfills the spiritual practice prerequisite for John F. Kennedy University's Graduate School for Holistic Studies.
- Qualifies for YTT 500. You must apply to the YTT 500 program before taking this class for credit.

RAMA BERCH, R.Y.T. (Registered Yoga Teacher), is a teacher who is living Yoga
as well as teaching it. Her credentials include certification and training in
four styles of Yoga as a Hatha Yoga teacher, advanced Hatha Yoga teacher,
pranayama teacher, and meditation teacher. After Kundalini initiation by her
Guru in 1976, she was moved during meditation into spontaneous Yoga poses,
enlivening not only her knowledge, but also her understanding of the body. Her
style of teaching and guiding others to discover this for themselves is called
Svaroopa Yoga. Rama has an exceptional understanding of how the body and mind
work, and how they work together. She communicates clearly and with great
insight and compassion. Rama is the originator of Svaroopa Yoga and the founder
of Master Yoga Foundation in La Jolla, California. She travels extensively

- CANCELLATION or CHANGE in REGISTRATION
Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.
For cancellations received at least 2 weeks before the
program, the deposit less a $50 fee will be credited to any other program within
one year. No credit is available for cancellation less than two weeks prior to
the program, for no-shows, or for leaving an event early. Housing changes incur
a $20 change fee.
- Check-in for Mount Madonna Center programs begins at 4:00 pm.
- Dinner is served from 5:30-6:30 on Friday and 5:00-6:00 on other days.
- If you will be arriving late, please ask us to save a dinner for you.
- Orientation begins at 7:00 pm.
- The program will end about midday on the final scheduled day.
