PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Struggle is not only experienced. Struggle can come to define how one relates to one’s self, others, and the world. During this silent retreat weekend, Mukti will dismantle the nature of struggle, its energetics, intentions, and repercussions. In guided meditations, talks, and dialogues, Mukti will also speak principally to the undivided self, free of resistance.  Topics of exploration will include

  • Who are you, without referring to thought, struggle, or passing experience?
  • What if you and life are not problems to be solved?
  • Is the peace you seek present now, prior to seeking?
  • How does this discovery touch your life and its expression?

PRESENTER BIOtop

MUKTI, whose name means “liberation,” is a teacher in the lineage of Adyashanti, her husband. Together they founded Open Gate Sangha in the California Bay Area in 1996 to cultivate the awakening of consciousness in those who yearn for truth, peace, and freedom. Mukti has been greatly influenced by her background in Christianity, Vedanta, Zen Buddhism, and Chinese medicine, and draws from those roots to point audiences back to the natural state of wholeness or undivided consciousness. Licensed in acupuncture and certified to teach hatha yoga, Mukti has a love of the whole, both form and formless.
