5th Annual Aradhana Ceremony Honoring Baba Hari Dass
Saturday, September 30, 2023, 7:00-10:00am Puja and Yajna
Join us online for the 5th annual ārādhanā (honoring ceremony) Baba Hari Dass, beloved teacher, guru, and inspiration behind the founding of Mount Madonna.
The aradhana for Babaji this year falls on the day after the full moon. The date of Babaji's passing was September 25, 2018, during the period called Pitru Paksha in traditional Indian culture. It is an auspicious 16-day period beginning on the full moon day in late August/September. Babaji passed on the second day of Pitru Paksha, the day after the full moon. Pitru Paksha is an important time for annually honoring ancestors with tarpanam (making offerings) and shraddha (ritual paying homage). If one leaves their body during that period as Babaji did, it is considered particularly auspicious.
The aradhana ceremony will include a puja (rituals) and yajna (fire ceremony).
