COVID-19 Update: Our Commitment to Well-being

We’re getting ready to welcome you back!

After many months of hibernation due to Covid-19, Mount Madonna Center is looking forward to welcoming our larger community back to the land beginning September 1st.

We have put a great deal of care into keeping both residents and visitors safe as we reopen our doors. Since this past March, we have ramped up our cleaning and safety protocols in lodging, bathrooms, and meeting spaces. You’ll also find that our kitchen and dining area has undergone considerable changes to keep everything sanitary and safe. As we reopen, we will ask guests to join us in our commitment to safety by engaging in health checks, wearing masks, and practicing social distancing.

Meanwhile, we invite you to stay engaged with Mount Madonna Center through a variety of free online offerings. You’ll find that many of our classics, like Sutra and Gita classes, as well as community favorites like Kirtan, are continuing from afar.

We are very eager to welcome you back to the land. Until then, please stay safe and be well.

Our core mission and teachings are being offered in creative new forms.

Join us:

  • Online Offerings include weekly Yoga Sutra and Bhagavad Gita classes, daily yoga practices, and satsang offered by our teachers and associated centers.
  • Morning and evening arati continues at our Hanuman Temple; to view videos and live streams, subscribe to the Temple YouTube Channel.

We are unable to host groups at this time, but the physical work continues on the ground and the teachings continue to inspire our community online. Donate to support the Center's efforts during this time and into a brighter future!

Sheltering on the Mountain

Our campus closed to the public in March 2020, but the resident community and essential staff continue to maintain the land and basic functions. We are distancing physically, wearing masks, and observing safety standards applicable to communal life.

But work is underway! Our staff have created a pickup service for our vulnerable population and reorganized our kitchen facilities to meet new standards. We are also tackling maintenance projects and improving our garden systems. More to come!
