Our Commitment to Wellbeing: COVID-19 Update

Last Updated: March 14, 2020

At Mount Madonna Center, we are committed to the health and wellbeing of our community, faculty, guests, and presenters. We have been monitoring the news of coronavirus (COVID-19) carefully and are following all guidelines provided by the California and Santa Cruz County Departments of Public Health, and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

We are committed to providing a safe and healthy learning environment for everyone we invite into our community.

Mount Madonna Center is temporarily closed through April 30th .

  • All programs and classes held on the Mount Madonna Center campus have been postponed or cancelled.
  • Some current Mount Madonna Institute classes have been rescheduled while others are continuing online. Our faculty is in contact with all current students.
  • While daily rituals will continue, the Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple is closed to all visitors through April 30th.
  • All regular Yoga classes and weekly study classes are postponed through April 30th .

While we recognize that the news of COVID-19 can be stressful, now is the time to lean into our practice and our values. With more time available to us all, there is an opportunity for self-care. Meditation, reading, walks in nature and exercise can be nourishing and healing.

We are still here for you. Now, more than ever, know that we are connected through our practice and our commitment to peace. We will be live streaming some of our devotional practices including daily Arati at the Temple (coming soon—check back for a link to the live stream). Please continue to follow us on Facebook to stay connected. We look forward to the changing of the seasons and seeing you again on the mountain in the spring and summer.
