1. Urgent Need for Disaster Relief Donations and Volunteers for our Extended Community in Santa Cruz County. Check out the doc linked below for specific ways to support local Community Collective Raíces y Cariño. Other agencies accepting donations recommended in the article linked below by the Santa Cruz Sentinel. ................................................................................................ 2. Special ‘Moth Edition’ of Writers Group hosted by Rashmi next Thursday (3/16) at 7:15pm in the CB Main. This session will focus on a format used by The Moth, a non-profit organization whose mission is "To celebrate the commonality and diversity of human experience through the art and craft of true, personal storytelling". We will be providing prompts and writing (or telling) our story as practice for our own slightly modified Moth community event in April. Beach Cleanup Organized by MMS 5th Grade Class on March 25th at Platforms Beach in Aptos: Come support the 5th graders with their environmental project as they hope to help clear plastic to save the lives of pelicans in the area. Check out a letter from 5th Grader Marc Monclus describing the purpose of the project along with further details about it at the link below. ................................................................................................ 2. Reminder: MMS is Fundraising for a Senior Class Trip to India! Shop at Sunridge Farms to help our students reach their India trip fundraising goals. All proceeds from this fundraiser using the link below will go towards the senior class trip to India and support the Chinmaya Organization for Rural Development which students will interact with during their trip.
