Shivaratri

Shivaratri

Shivarātri is the night that celebrates the Great God Shiva as a manifestation of the Pure Consciousness Principle. Traditionally, Shivarātri is observed on the lunar fortnight, when the moon is waning into the new moon in the western months of February or March. To practitioners, this night is considered a highly auspicious time of austerity (tapah) and devotion (bhakti). Shiva represents the principle of destruction and we perform this ritual with the aim of weakening desire and attachment, and destroying our ignorance and separation from our true Divine Nature.

Join us as we celebrate with chanting, prayer, meditation, and performing ritual throughout the night!
