Special Yoga Class for Mountain Experience Guests: Restorative Yoga with Live Music

Saturday, May 18, 2024 | 3:30 - 5:00pm

Enjoy a special restorative yoga class set to live chanting of divine mantras (prayers) and kirtan (devotional singing) with expert yoga teacher and musician, Anand. Restorative yoga is a healing practice of holding gentle asana (yoga postures) for longer periods of time with the weight of the body supported by props. Dive deeply into the art of relaxation through skillful direction of breath and concentration within each posture.

The day's program will also include:

  • A guided tour of the Mount Madonna campus
  • Lunch & dinner in the shared community dining hall
  • Personal time
  • Opportunity to stay for arati after dinner
  • Option to book a wellness treatment at the Kaya Kalpa Wellness Center (additional cost)

Presenters

anandAnand Brian Darsie, BA (Music), RYT 500, E-RYT 200, RCYT, teaches the Eight Limbs of classical Ashtanga Yoga with a focus on asana and pranayama. Anand has been the Program Coordinator for Children’s Yoga Teacher Training for Educators, bringing his background in helping children explore nature, music, and yoga to those who wish to share contemplative practice with the youngest generation.

Anand is a professional musician and vocalist.
